In this beautiful world, surely animals have the right to live a life free of pain and suffering. Just because humans are at the top of the food chain doesn’t make us forget what humanity means. Also, most of us are uneducated about what happens to animals in various industries that work for the benefit of humans. Clearly, nowadays humans are just being selfish for their well-being. This might be a big problem for the earth in the future. Animal welfare is one effective solution for this problem.
Basically , animal welfare is a traditional model that directs the management of animals to their best use and humane practices , while setting the value of the animal relative to its benefit for mankind . The American Veterinary Medical Association describes animal welfare as ,” a human responsibility that encompasses all the animal well-being , including proper housing, management, nutrition , responsible care , humane handling, and when necessary humane euthanasia.”
Animal welfare reflects the belief that animals have the right to be handled humanely and to live a life free of pain. If there is no existence of animals then there will be a hard time for the world to survive. As we all know many animals have extinct, many are endangered, a lot of animals are facing animal abuse and animal cruelty has lead to a whole new level. We, being a civilized human beings have a responsibility to save animals and think about what will be the future of the earth if the problem of extinction goes on.
Imagine you were the one being tested on , imagine your skin being torn off alive , imagine your arms and legs being ripped off , imagine being burnt alive , imagine being hit by a vehicle and not getting any help, and imagine losing your life just to satisfy other species. Have you ever thought of the damage we have done to evolution? Don’t you think we should step forward and do as much as we can to save the animals? Don’t you think they should be treated better than they are treated right now? Animals also have the right to live a beautiful life, being loved and being cared for.
Many domestic animals have the privilege of animal welfare but what about those animals who are lingering around the streets. They should also be treated with equal animal welfare. Animal rights have been established but are not executed properly. It’s high time we should realize that proper execution of these animal rights can improve the welfare of animals. All the animals should feel secured everywhere and at any time. There should be strict implementation of animal rights and the criminals should be punished according to the law.
Lastly , we should encourage all the human beings to protect animals and their rights for animal welfare as it is our responsibility. Every human being should understand the concept of animal welfare and should act on it with full enthusiasm. Humanity is a very important factor to solve problems like animal abuse and cruelty. Everyone should be kind to animals and should love them and provide proper care to them. We are only humans, we make mistakes but it is never too late to realize and work on them.
